North Eastern Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority (NEIFCA) replaced North Eastern Sea Fisheries Committee (NESFC). Its duties and responsibilities  include managing and conserving marine resources between North East Lincolnshire and the River Tyne. They champion a sustainable marine environment and inshore fisheries, to try and ensure healthy seas, sustainable fisheries and a viable industry. NEIFCA is comprised of 30 members and is one of 10 authorities of its kind.
