HULL RESETTLEMENT PROJECT                                                                

Description:                                                                                                                                                               

The Hull Resettlement Project cares and supports homeless and other disadvantaged persons who are in need of help to acquire a settled way of life by providing, developing and maintaining short term residential accommodation or similar facilities. It provides further help to those accommodated by way of advice or counselling and any other form of aid to acquire employment more permanent accommodation education or any other benefit.

Object(s) of the Organisation:                                                                                                                                 

1. The care and support of person, who are homeless and in need, or where by reasons of adverse circumstances are in need of help in acquiring a settled way of life by providing, developing and maintaining short term residential accommodation or similar facilities, and further assist those so accommodated who by reason of any physical, psychological, emotional or social infirmity are in need of advice, counselling and any other form of aid to acquire employment, more permanent accommodation, education, training and any other benefit to assist them towards a more settled way of living in the community.

2. In furtherance of the said objects but not further or otherwise the Association may:-

   (a) Assist with the co-operation of both statutory and voluntary bodies in the process of permanent or other satisfactory                  solutions for such person in need of accommodation.

    (b) Liaise closely with other voluntary and statutory agencies also concerned with the assistance of person in need of the                provision of accommodation.

    (c) Represent the interests of homeless person who are in need in negotiations with statutory and local authorities with a view       to the establishment and provision of more permanent accommodation for them.

    (d) To promote education about and conduct research into the needs and conditions of homeless people both by recording             and disseminating information about their conditions.
