To remind Members of the need to record the existence and nature of any Personal and Discloseable Pecuniary interest in items on the agenda, in accordance with the Member Code of Conduct.

To provide the Communities, Culture & Leisure Overview and Scrutiny Commission with an update in relation to current activities being undertaken by volunteers under the umbrella of the Tenants’ Forum to complement the wider tenant participation structure.

 

6 Portfolio Holder Priorities – Housing & Homelessness

To enable the Portfolio Holder to update on her priorities.

 

To provide an update to the Commission including a summary of the background to the company, its operational service delivery and current key matters facing HCL.

 

To provide the Commission with an overview of current cost-of-living issues faced by residents and organisations in the city, and examples of some of the existing and emerging initiatives put in place by the Council and external stakeholder to address these issues and support residents.

 

To update the Commission on current/key issues and for Members to identify matters to be considered further.

To provide an overview of the general fund revenue budget for LSPD, (to note this does not include the Housing Revenue Account - HRA) and to provide a key point summary on how the budget is influenced by internal and external factors that affect the directorate’s budget achievability as at period 5 financial monitoring.

 

To provide an overview of the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) budget at period 5 2022/2023.

 

To enable the Commission to undertake pre-decision scrutiny prior to submission to Cabinet.

 

To review progress of actions agreed at previous meetings.

 

To ensure the Commission has a strategically focused work programme that is coordinated with local and national priorities.
