4 Portfolio Holder Priorities – Corporate Services

To enable the Portfolio Holder to advise the Commission of her priorities for 2021-22 and take questions as appropriate.

 

 

5 Director of Finance & Transformation Presentation

To update the Commission on any service, policy or strategy developments that fall within the remit of the Commission, with a view to the Commission including them in the future work programme if they consider it appropriate.

 

 

To consider a report to Cabinet seeking approval to commence a tender process for the provision of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and workwear, through an open tender process.

 

 

A briefing to provide the Commission with an update on the current position regarding the contract for distribution of ward newsletters and leaflets.

 

 

To update Members on the revenue budget monitoring position as at Period 5, explanations for material variances from Budget, year-end projections, and the management actions being taken where appropriate.

 

 

To provide the commission with an overview of the budget for Children’s Safeguarding Service and the service actions to control demand and mitigate overspending while improving quality.

 

 

To provide Members with an updated overview of progress against budget and planned activity for the 2021/22 capital programme and seek approval for a revised capital programme in light of known pressures identified.

 

 

To brief the Commission on processes that are in place to oversee the Council’s Capital Programme being delivered by Major Projects & Infrastructure (MPI) following a request by the OSC at their meeting of 7th June 2021.
