To update the West Area Committee on Policing and Public Protection activities in the West area.

The purpose of this briefing paper is to provide an overview of the Playing Pitch Strategy (PPS) and the Built Facilities Strategy (BFS), which are being considered by Cabinet on the 27 July 2026, seeking approval to adopt both the PPS and the BFS.

The paper also seeks comments from the Committee.

To provide information and request a decision on the Community Highstreets Programme, and revision and reallocation of the chosen site and associated budget. 

The Leader’s Scheme of Delegation, delegates to Area Committees executive decisions on matters that exclusively affect their area. This allows Area Committees to deal with street naming requests within their boundaries.

The report makes recommendations to continue this delegation following the amendment and creation of six new Area Committees from January 2026.

This report reviews the delegated decision-making arrangements for Ward Budgets for 2026/27 within the HRA Area Housing Team remit and seeks agreement from the Committee.
