Director of Finance & Transformation Presentation
To update the Commission on any service, policy or strategy developments that fall within the remit of the Commission, with a view to the Commission including them in the future work programme if they consider it appropriate.
To update Members on the revenue budget monitoring position as at Period 7 (October 2025), explanations for material variances from Budget, year-end projections, and the management actions being taken where appropriate.
To provide an updated Capital Programme for 2025/26 to 2028/29 and overview against budget and planned activity, and to seek authorisation for the amendments to the programme.
To provide Members with an update on Treasury Management activity and performance in the first half of the financial year 2025/26, as required by the Council’s Treasury Management Policy Statement.
To update Members on the latest Medium Term Financial Plan (MTFP) projections for the period 2026/27 to 2028/29 and outline a financial strategy which will inform the detailed formal budget proposals to be considered by Council and Cabinet in February 2026.
To undertake pre-decision scrutiny.
To ensure any outstanding actions are being addressed in a timely manner.
To consider and agree the work programme.
